These Islands – Summer Concert

All aboard the Cobham express for a musical tour around These Isles.

On Saturday 4th of July, the Cobham Band will take you on a journey around all corners of Britain and Ireland with a programme of music related to places we find on the way. We will tour a comprehensive range of genres – everything from heartfelt Irish folk song to morris dancing, an epic tv theme, gospel, Beatles songs and brass band classics.

We’re especially pleased to spotlight some innovative music for brass band including a Liz Lane composition from 2021, an underplayed piece for band by Imogen Holst, and a world premiere arrangement of a prog rock classic by Jethro Tull.

Included in the fare is a set by the Cobham Training Band – our ensemble for young and older learners.
