The Cobham Conservation and Heritage Trust has been working hard over the last year or so to transform the riverside to make it a more pleasant and enjoyable feature of Cobham.

On the 9th of July this was opened by Her Royal Highness Sophie Wessex who spent the afternoon in Cobham, unveiling an information board about the project, visiting the Mill and later attending a tea party on The Tilt.

The Cobham Band was part of event and The Countess of Wessex even took the opportunity to conduct the band for a short period.

Walled Garden, Sunbury

The band played in the Walled Garden, Sunbury on Sunday 8th June. The weather was fantastic and a very large audience came to enjoy the gardens and the band.

2014 is the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings and the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War One and so some of the music played during the concert followed this theme, including Marching Music from World War 2 and Dads Army. Solos featured Kelvin Yendall on Cornet and Beryl McMillan on Flugel.
