Snippets from Claygate Flower Show – 13 July 2024

The band had a great time at the Claygate Flower show last Saturday, even if our Scottish MD was grimacing through the second rendition of Three Lions! His tartan trews were obviously Spanish made…

Cobham Band – Claygate Flower Show, 15 July 2024

Anyway, here’s a couple of recordings to enjoy, Prismatic Light by Alan Fernie and the feet tapping Flashdance.

If you’re interested in joining the band, we rehearse on Monday evening 8-10pm and are currently recruiting. You will be very welcome.

Music for Jock Tamson

This year The Cobham Band wasn’t able to enter the Regional Brass Band competition, but that didn’t stop us learning the test piece and taking some time to perform it in an open rehearsal and in front of Chris King. Chris had, just a few days before, adjudicated the piece in the Scottish regional championships. His insight and feedback was invaluable – bring on the Autumn contests!

Ben in full flow

Here’s the final performance – we enlisted a couple of deps, but we’d really like to fill our Vacancies. If you’re interested in joining us – view the Contact Us page and get in touch.
